I was fully immersed in the Bread & Butter Berlin… but couldn’t stop thinking about how a few editions back Bread & Butter was hosted by my city, Barcelona. If you thought that Barcelona was a fashion-orphan now, you were mistaken. The reaction to the move of BBB was instantaneous and Barcelona created a new trade show for urban brands to replace her: The Brandery. I visited her already third edition.

While emerging designers gave it all for the runway at 080 Barcelona Fashion, from July 13 to 15 at Plaza España… in a galaxy, far, far away -the Sarrià neighborhood- Gori de Palma, born in Mallorca, but adopted as Barcelona’s enfant terrible, presented his S/S 2011 collection on a private residence in this upscale Catalan suburb.

Born in Catalonia, the brand is still growing and expanding onto the world, registering its optimistic motto through its more than 200 brand stores and its present in 7,000 multibrand stores and 700 corners (shop-in-shop). Adriano O Grande is part of that new and current young generation of artists that is born at the end of the eighties, and completely devoted itself to show their artistic pieces in as many interesting projects as possible. Age 23, Adriano already knows his future is photography (and fashion…) and it is that very knowledge that made him come to Barcelona.
