We certainly hope you’ve enjoyed the Sotu the Traveler MP3 that has held it’s own on the Code main page for a solid year now… But it’s Summer. It’s time for a change. And since some of the CODE crew is going to London later today, it seems appropriate that our featured artist of the week would be Theophilus London.
The native Brooklynite has caught the attention of some heavy hitters in the fashion world and music world alike. His first major studio release debuted this Tuesday (“Timez Are Weird These Days”) with eleven tracks that set a whole new standard for footwork mechanics. Major labels like Lanvin, Gucci and Tommy Hilfiger have caught onto the young entrepreneur as well. Gucci sponsored a collaboration between the rapper and major hit maker Mark Ronson. Lanvin “swagged” London out in a plum suit, which he wore to the Cannes Film Festival. Anyone who can kill it in a plum suit deserves success in all arenas of life. Apparently Tommy Hilfiger agrees, as Theophilus will be the face of his FW ’11 campaign.
